'The Bear Family & Me' was a three-part nature documentary series produced by the BBC Natural History Unit. The 3 part docu-film was presented Monday to Wednesday on BBC2 at 9pm (3rd, 4th & 5th January, 2011) with a narrative repeat at 6.30pm starting Saturday 8th and HD channel on 9th January. 2011.
This series follows wildlife cameraman, Gordon Buchanan, as he spends a year with a family of wild Black Bears. Gordon arrives in the forests of Minnesota in spring just as the bears are coming out of their dens. Before he can start filming, he faces a major challenge - to earn the bears' trust. He must overcome his fear, Black Bears have a dangerous reputation and attack more people than any other bear in the world. Could this change the way we think about bears?
