The UK is home of many cultures which is widely represented when taking into regard its current music industry. Many may have first been introduced to her via her track with DVA entitled "Leaving on a Jet Plane" which was on heavy rotation in the dance and house club circuit even featuring on one of Ministry of Sound\'s compilations nevertheless Up\'n\'Coming Music proudly present to you:

Alahna, 23 - Born and raised in East London whom can now be acknowledged comfortably within the UK Music sector with her debut mixtape release entitled "Welcome to Lah Lah Land".

This CD merges Alahna\'s heritage culture which is of Jamaican and Trinidadian descent with that of London\'s inner city urbanity and depicts a vivid image of a typical young woman\'s mind set and issues faced growing up in London.

Alahna describes herself as being a fun, independant woman and admits to being influenced by Faith Evans, Mary J Blige (to name a couple) alongside her personal experiences when creating her music. She\'s a singer, song writer and after listening to this CD we can at the very minimum vouch for her being extremely talented at singing and song writing.

Her debut release is almost likened to a collage of her characteristics as represented by her Mix CD cover as her music takes us on a journey through young womanhood; partying, relationships, independence and love - Women will definitely relate and although they seem to be the core target; men will also love a few tracks on this refreshing piece <span style="font-weight: bold;">"Dun Dun"</span>, <span style="font-weight: bold;">"In This Club"</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">"All I Wanna Do"</span> to name a few.

With a voice capable of winning the X-Factor, a well structured and put together CD to introduce us to <span style="font-weight: bold;">Lah Lah Land</span> I for one am very excited about where Alahna will take her music - We tip her to crack the US but for now we can expect to see her gigging in the UK and collaborating with other UK Artists as she prepares to shake up the UK\'s music scene.
