CD-Rom speed: x 4

II – DirectX and Compatibility:

Microsoft DirectX 9.0 drivers must be installed and functioning correctly on your computer for you to play Top Spin. If you encounter any problems using DirectX 9.0c, contact the manufacturer of your graphic card or sound card to obtain the latest drivers.

III – Disk Space:

At least 1.7 GB of free space is required on your hard disk to run Top Spin. If insufficient disk space is available, you will probably encounter problems running the game. For best performances, ensure that 1.7 GB of free space is available before you run the game.

IV – Support:

For information concerning support for this title, please consult the Top Spin PC manual that came in the box with the game.

V – Known Problems:

a) Graphic problems

This title will not run correctly with the following graphic cards:

•	Sis 330 (Xabre 400) and Matrox P 650 / P750 / Parhelia

RADEON 8500 LE / RADEON 9000 Pro –Windows Me

•	The selection icons for active players in the game menus may appear very light, (almost white.)
•	The players may randomly appear very light during the game.
•	Graphic problems, such as white lines, may appear in the player name creation menu, and during automatic camera switching while playing.

RADEON 8500 - 8500LE / Windows 2000 Pro
RADEON 9200 - 9700 Pro / Windows XP Pro

The same problems as those mentioned in the preceding paragraph have been noted with the above graphic cards running Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro. Additionally:

•	A display problem has been noted when running the title in a window. Cutscenes and logo animations are not displayed, though the sound can still be heard. This problem is not encountered when running the game in full-screen mode – sound and video for the cutscenes and animated logos function correctly.

RADEON 9200 SE / Windows 2000 Pro

In addition to the problems described in the preceding paragraphs the following problem has been noted with the above graphic card running Windows 2000 Pro.

•	The title may slow down randomly during gameplay.

RADEON 9600 Pro - 9700 Pro - X800 Pro / Windows 2000 Pro
RADEON 9800 Pro - 9600 XT - X800 Pro / Windows XP Pro

•	A display problem has been noted when running the title in a window. Cutscenes and logo animations are not displayed, though the sound can still be heard. This problem is not encountered when running the game in full-screen mode – sound and video for the cutscenes and animated logos function correctly.

b) General software issues:

Windows 98 (First Edition):
•	The game plays normally, but the cutscenes cannot be played as Windows Media Player version 9 is not compatible with Windows 98.

Windows 98 Second Edition + Windows Me:

•	Cutscenes are not correctly centred in full-screen mode. If the screen resolution is higher than 640*480, the cutscenes appear in the bottom left of the screen. This problem does not occur in window mode.

Uninstalling Top Spin may require longer than expected when running Windows 9x (98, 98 Se and Me).

VI – Default Keys for Player Attitude

•	An addition to the game that does not appear in Top Spin manual: You can have the player you control adopt a positive or negative attitude to change his style of play. If you are using the keyboard, the default key is Z, to adopt a positive attitude, and X to adopt a negative style of play.
